This piece seeks to question the future of Ghana. Makola is a central market in the capital city, Accra and holds so many vendors and products.
In 2030 they’re doing the exact same thing but wearing luxury goods.
Unfortunately this is the reality in 2020 in the “third world countries” with people who can barely afford, buying designer items to fit the status quo but are in the same situation and have been in it for years without growth.
Makola 2030. Is this the future?
Another aspect is that we should respect the vendors we see. For although they don’t dress with luxury, they may be worth a lot more.
